Google establishes AI education programmes for Irish students
Google is making a significant investment in fostering AI literacy among Irish students through two new educational programs. These initiatives, AI Literacy in the Classroom and Experience AI, aim to equip students and teachers with the necessary AI skills and knowledge to navigate the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence.
Developed by the Adapt Research Centre and the Raspberry Pi Foundation, respectively, these programs offer workshops and online resources tailored to secondary school teachers, ensuring relevance and alignment with current AI education policies. By providing classroom resources and professional development, the programs will enable teachers to educate up to 14,000 students about AI and its applications.
Why is this important?
These programs will make AI education more accessible and inclusive, integrating it into the educational mainstream. A stronger AI-literate workforce will offer numerous advantages to advertisers. By investing in AI education for younger generations, we are nurturing the future of AI innovation. Increased understanding of AI technologies will empower individuals to use these tools effectively, leading to greater efficiency, innovation, and time savings in various tasks. This, in turn, can drive advancements in the media landscape and keep advertisers at the forefront of the evolving AI landscape.
